Heavy Equipment AI(“we”) runs a searchable directory of heavy equipment listed for sale by dealers and auction houses. This notice says what we collect, the one situation in which we share personal information, and what you can do about it.
Our servers log the usual request details (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to run and protect the site. Those logs are kept by our hosting providers for a rolling window of at most 30 days and are not linked to anything you submit. We set no advertising or analytics cookies and load no third-party scripts, trackers or pixels; every resource on every page is served by us.
When you use the search box to describe what you're looking for, the text you type is sent to Google's Gemini API to be turned into search filters. Only the query text is sent — nothing that identifies you — and we do not store search queries against any identity.
Notice at collection. When you submit this form, Heavy Equipment AI collects your name, email address, phone number, company (if given), state, the amount and timeline you entered, your message, and the listing you were viewing, together with the time of your request, your IP address and browser details. We collect this for one purpose: to refer you to Joslen Commercial Funding, an independent commercial finance brokerage, so they can contact you about financing. Passing your details to Joslen Commercial Funding is a sale or sharing of personal information under California law, and we may receive a referral fee if you obtain financing. We keep your request for up to 24 months, and you can withdraw your consent at any time using the link in your confirmation email or the Do Not Sell or Share page. We do not collect Social Security numbers, dates of birth or income here; any credit application happens with Joslen Commercial Funding directly, on their own terms.
This is the only situation in which we sell or share personal information. We do it only when you submit the financing form and tick the consent box; nothing you do elsewhere on the site is shared with anyone. If you are a California resident (and, in practice, wherever you live) you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to stop selling or sharing it. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Since sharing happens only when you submit the financing form, the effect is this: the form still asks for your express consent before anything is shared, and we record that the signal was present alongside that consent.
Financing requests are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted; the technical details recorded with a request (IP address, browser) are removed after 12 months. Data is stored with Supabase in the United States and transmitted over encrypted connections; confirmation and opt-out emails are sent through Resend, which acts as our service provider. Access is limited to what running the service requires.
Listings are indexed from public dealer and auction websites and show business information as the seller published it. Sellers can have a listing removed at any time through the removal request page.
The site is not directed to anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information. When this notice changes we update the date above; the consent text you were shown at the time of a request is kept under its own version number. Questions go to hello@heavyequipment.ai.
